Annual Meeting – 11 am

Please join us for the 2015 Annual Meeting of the New England Watercolor Society. It’s a great opportunity to hear from the Board, and more importantly, to let them hear from you! There is no charge for the meeting portion of the day.

Lunch – 12:30pm

Following the Annual Meeting, NEWS Members, Associates and friends will enjoy a delicious luncheon. This is a wonderful opportunity to visit with old friends while welcoming new artists to NEWS.  There will be a choice of two entrees – Seared Chicken Breast with artichoke chutney,roasted potatoes and vegetable or Grilled Vegetable Medley with barley.  The plated luncheon includes starter salad, dessert, coffee or tea.

Cindy Baron is nationally recognized in both watercolors and oils, painting the grand landscapes of the western mountains and coastal shorelines. She is a full time artist, painting, teaching and conducting workshops around the country. A signature member of the American Watercolor Society and the oil painters of America she has recently become a member of the Salmagundi Club. Taking the necessary time for study and contemplation her landscape and seascape paintings reflect the beauty to be found in nature. Enthusiastic about plein-air painting she is also accomplished in portrature as she strives to capture individuality in a personal way. Among the many awards to her credit are the OPA National Show Landscape Merit Award, the 35th International Maritime Mystic CT David Thimgan Award, Arts for the Parks Honorable Award and the Allentown Arts Festival Best of Show Award.

Cindy has been published in Plein-Air Magazine, The Artists Magazine, Southwest Art, The Art Collector, Art Connoisseur, Coastal Life Magazine, Big Sky Journal and Splash 8. Her work may be seen here in New England at the Maritime Gallery at Mystic Seaport, Tilting at Windmills in Manchester Center, VT and at Highlands Art Gallery, Lambertsville, NJ.
